Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Touring

The Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Touring was a pearl in the 8C (that is, “8 cylinder”) family – an illustrious family of cars made by the Milan-based brand between 1931 and 1939. A brainchild of engineer Vittorio Jano, the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 was a versatile car granting excellent performances in both its commercial and race versions. Having won many competitions in the 1930s, including the Mille Miglia and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it was even described by automobile historian Simon Moore as the ultimate sports car of its time. Approximately 200 were made, some with a long 3.10-meter chassis and others – like the one portrayed here – with a shorter 2.75 version.
